What has changed?
Selected Paint By Dots designs are now available in three colour options: black, blue and gold. These colours are not used together in one kit. They are separate marker colour choices, so you can choose the finish that best suits the artwork, the room and the feeling you want.
The core process stays the same. Each kit includes a printed dot canvas and your selected acrylic marker colour. You complete the artwork by filling the printed dots slowly, one section at a time.
Black dot painting
Best for strong contrast, crisp structure and a more graphic finished artwork.
Blue dot painting
Best for a softer, calmer finish with more visual depth and a cooler tone.
Gold dot painting
Best for warmth, decorative impact and artwork that feels softer on the wall.
The problem: single colour artwork can feel flat if the wrong colour is chosen
Paint By Dots is intentionally simple: one printed dot canvas, one chosen marker colour, one calm repeated process. But the colour choice still matters. The same design can feel very different in black, blue or gold.
Black can make the artwork feel sharper and more architectural. Blue can make the same design feel quieter and more layered. Gold can make it feel warmer and more decorative. This is why the colour option should not be treated as a small detail. It changes the final mood of the artwork.
The benefit in one sentence
Paint By Dots colour options let you keep the process simple while choosing the visual mood of the finished artwork.
Which colour should you choose?
The colours do not work together in one painting. You choose one. To make that choice easier, use the artwork mood you want as your guide.
Black: structure
Choose black if you want the strongest outline, the clearest contrast and the most graphic result.
Blue: depth
Choose blue if you want a calmer, softer finish that gives the artwork a cooler and more atmospheric feeling.
Gold: warmth
Choose gold if you want a warmer, more decorative result with a softer presence in the room.
Colour choice guide
This is not a painting sequence. It is a simple guide to help you choose the right marker colour before you order.
- Choose black for structure. Black is the safest choice if you want strong contrast, clear outlines and a more graphic finished artwork.
- Choose blue for depth. Blue works well if you want a calmer result, especially for animals, landscapes, soft interiors and thoughtful gifts.
- Choose gold for warmth. Gold suits decorative wall art, gift pieces and designs where the finished artwork should feel warmer and more refined.
A medium design usually takes around 8 to 12 hours to complete, depending on size, detail level and your pace. The completion time does not change significantly between black, blue and gold.

Why we added more colour options
Customer feedback and studio review showed that the colour choice strongly affects how finished the artwork feels. Some customers prefer the clarity of black. Others want the softer mood of blue or the decorative warmth of gold.
This update is not about making the kit more complicated. It is about giving customers a clearer choice before they begin, while keeping the making process simple: one chosen marker colour, one printed dot canvas, one calm artwork.
Studio note
Our colour work is guided by finished artwork, not by adding unnecessary options. The same dot painting can change mood completely depending on whether it is completed in black, blue or gold. That is why the colour choice should be clear before purchase.
